Alterations and Tailoring Policies
Garments purchased regular (full) price at Theodore 1922 are altered free of charge. Any garment 50% off or more is subject to an alteration charge. The prices of the alteration are determined on a case by case basis. We do not accept any alterations from clothing purchased elsewhere.
What if I gain or lose weight?
We will alter, mend or fix to the best of our ability, any garment purchased free of charge for 2 years after initial purchase*. Once a garment is over 2 years old it will be subject to a tailoring charge. This applies to Made to Measure, off the rack, any clothing purchased at Theodore 1922. Each garment is charged on a case by case basis. If you have gained or lost weight we can usually alter it up or down one size. We are more than happy for you to bring the garment in for us to assess if it is worth tailoring and what the charge would be.

How do I Set Up an Appointment?
Contact us ahead of time to make sure someone is available to fit you. Once you are here we will see what work is required and how much it will cost. You are required to get any worn garments dry-cleaned. For your convenience, you can drop clothing off across the street at the Knob Hill Cleaners once we are finished with the fitting. We will pick it up and alter it for you. Questions? Call us!
